Face the threat: Deliver cybersecurity in Higher Education through automation
Deliver cybersecurity in Higher Education through automation
The threat of cyberattack is growing. We’ve witnessed it across all parts of the economy. For Higher Education institutions, the challenges are multifarious – managing many users on a network (often on their own devices), a high volume of online communications, remote learning and newer risks posed by IoT devices. Whilst the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) continues to respond to the increasing number of attacks affecting education in the UK, there is no doubt that HE organisations cannot afford to be complacent.
Cyber Essentials is an effective, Government backed scheme to help organisations protect themselves, whatever their size, against a whole range of the most common cyberattacks. With recent attacks providing a stark reminder to universities of the importance of being cyber protected, it’s time to take notice.
Rolling out security controls once is not enough. What’s needed is continual enforcement of security and regulatory policies across your entire infrastructure. Without automation, that’s a Herculean feat. Not convinced? Ask yourself:
- What are the key challenges to implementing Cyber Essentials?
- What are the consequences of not implementing Cyber Essentials within the next 12 months?
- Have you a process for ensuring all security related patches are updated within 14 days?
The only way to protect your organisation is through automation. To find out more, fill the form below.
