Our Commitment
At WM Promus, we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint and advancing sustainability throughout our operations and supply chain. Our Carbon Reduction Plan outlines the strategies and initiatives we have implemented to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, improve energy efficiency, and promote sustainable practices. This plan reflects our dedication to continuous environmental improvement, as supported by our Environmental Policy and aligns with our Environmental Policy: “The Company will conduct all of its operations with due regard for the environment, and the health and safety of our employees customers and the general public. The Company is committed to continuous, overall environmental improvement and the prevention of pollution.” This commitment is supported by our senior leadership team and embedded within our organizational culture.
Our Data Sources
WM Promus is an IT Software and Services Consultancy, a small to mid-sized company, and has no direct emissions related to production or transportation of goods.
WM Promus operates from a managed office in London; some of our emissions data is collected from the building managers in this location.
Other data sources used to support the calculation of our carbon emissions include our time and expense recording system, the results from our annual employee survey, our IT assets inventory and the UK government’s ghg-conversion-factors.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline Year: 2023 | |
Scope | WM Promus (tCO2) |
Scope 1 | 0.00 |
Scope 2 | 8098.208 (IT Assets / Office Space) |
Scope 3 | 45.00 |
Total Emissions | 8,143.208 |
Scope 1 – Direct GHG Emissions
WM Promus does not produce any direct GHG emissions. WM Promus does not own any vehicles nor do we produce products that require transportation.
Scope 2 – Indirect GHG Emissions
WM Promus has 1 leased office being part of a larger managed office building.

London | 312sqft | 573.35 |
Scope 3 – Indirect GHG Emissions – 3rd party
WM Promus purchase office supplies from a local distributor. Our office manager walks there in person and collects the supplies. WM Promus technical equipment from serverdirect.com and laptopsdirect.com. We rarely use them approximately once per year and at baseline point, we did not have a reliable method for calculating the emissions related to the production and transport of these goods. We are since requesting details from these suppliers.
Category 5 – Waste Generated in Operations
This Category covers emissions from disposal and treatment of waste generated. As a service provider, WM Promus does not produce waste from manufactured goods or operations and therefore has no Category 5 emissions.
Category 6 – Business Travel
WM Promus employees primarily work remotely or from our office. However, we do conduct a small about of business travel in the course of delivering our services (IT consulting) to our clients. This travel is typically (95%+) within the UK . We have a travel policy in place that recommends lower emission travel methods. For example, employees are requested to travel via rail as an alternative to driving for longer journeys.
Category 7 – Employee Commute
Our annual employee survey has been used to gather travel data as well as raise the visibility of our CRP across WM Promus.
Category 9 – Downstream Transportation and Distribution
As a service provider, WM Promus does not manufacture goods and therefore has no Category 9 emissions.
